READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS AND YES I KNOW THE RED HI-HAT NOTES ARE REALLY HARD TO SEE THANKS TO YOUTUBE’S COMPRESSION, haha.

So, in waiting for my new set, I got my basically broken set and hooked it up to my computer and played DTXmania (Drummania emulator) with it.

Also note that the colors in these videos are NOT the original Drummania colors; I just re-skinned the emulator to fit the colors of the Rock Band drumset. The original colors are actually a lot easier to see.

For those of you who don’t know what Drummania is, it’s a music game that came out years before Rock Band and has a much more realistic drumset setup, and is basically in every Japanese arcade, etc. etc.

A lot of misconceptions are involved with it, such as music variety; the game isn’t all J-pop, and while this song sort of is, there’s heavy metal, jazz, alternative, blues, reggae, punk, and tons of other genres on Drummania; it’s got over 450 songs in the latest release.

The difficulty of Drummania songs is also far above anything in Rock Band; this does not make it a better game, but it explains why I can coast through most Rock Band songs on my first try on drums, because i’ve been playing Drummania for 5 years, and real drums for 4 years.

Since Rock Band’s set only has 4 pads, and a Drummania cabinet has 5 pads, I had to use a pillow on a chair to simulate the cymbal, hahaha.

Sooo yeah. This is just for fun; you can see a dent in the yellow drum which basically should tell you why i’m missing as much as I do, aka the set is wrecked; however it’s easier to use it on here than Rock Band because Rock Band breaks your combo for double hits, whereas Drummania won’t penalize you for that.

Part 23:

We go on a slight detour from our original destination of Meribia to visit two locales: The Nanza Barrier and the Shrine of Althena.

The Nanza Barrier is a village inbetween two regions. It’s run by bandits who protect the citizens as they cross. A glorious scam! We meet Kyle, who’s the leader and is a hunk! Too bad he’s kind of a jerk. Jessica’s got something for him, though…

We then visit the Shrine of Althena once more and the clergy bemoans that the world is in deep doody because of what’s happened in Vane.

Finally reaching Meribia, we discover Dross’ shop has reopened and is a booming business (which cute cashier chicks!). Who is the shrewd businessman who restarted the business?

Note: Yeah, I know my voice sounds like I’m speaking from a tin can. For some reason, the volume recorded low. I had to compensate by fixing the volume, then uploading it in a different format when youtube refused to upload it 5 times!
